I want to take a minute and pause from my usually blog activity to highlight a very important man in my life, and a very important cause.

The Big Daddy Jay Support Group
Supporting Jason Markowycz

Jason is my fiance. He is 45, otherwise healthy and active with 2 boys in high school. In October we went to the ER for some shortness of breath, and while conducting routine scans, doctors found masses in his colon, liver and lungs. The sent us to follow up with a oncologist.  About a month later he was diagnosed with "stage 4 advanced metastatic colon cancer" it had spread to the liver and lungs. Jason is receiving palliative and supportive care and we are told it is incurable.

I am holding a fund raising event for Jason.
Details can be found here:
328 Village Hill Rd, Lebanon CT 06249
It is a superhero themed celebration! Because just blue ribbons is so cliché!

I 've made Jason his own line of jewelry that is beautiful, simple and supportive. It will be available at the event, and then after in my etsy shop.

If you would like to contribute to the event in any way, please contact me by phone, text or email
(860) 303-2493

I would like to recognize some of the donations we have had from individuals and local businesses. and keep postings on his progress, my life with Jay, and my thoughts about our lives. so look for more postings soon!

I am thinking of starting a not so PC cancer-centric blog with my thoughts and perceptions. I need something to do while sitting with Jay in chemo,

But one thing at a time!
Spaghetti Super supper!
